Star Multitrade has opened the limestone filler production factory in 2008, in Valea Mare Pravat (Arges County).
The limestone filler is a product obtained by dry crushing the limestone with a high contain of Calcium Carbonate (CaCO3 >95%) and gravitational clasifing. All the equipments are new and are made in Germany.
The daily production is about 350 tones of final product. The final product is being deposited in high capacity silos at optimal temperature and humidity conditions, in order to keep unchanged the physical and chemical properties.
The transport of filler is made with both clients` and Star Multitrade’s cement trucks. Upon delivery, a high precision electronic scale (metrologically permanently checked) is being used.
The main domains in which limestone filler is being used are:

• road construction (it is an element in asphalt preparation)
• civil and industrial constructions (used at concrete preparation)
• glass industry
• construction materials industry (used at the production of adhesives and putty)
• chemical industry (detergents production)
• energy industry (used in thermo centrals for water conditioning)
•  ceramics
• agricultural amendments
• animal breeding (supplement in the birds and animals food)

In the future, Star Multitrade wishes to continue its investment at Valea Mare Pravat, for increasing the production and for the diversification of the domains in which the obtained products are used. We intend to obtain micronized filler, a requested product in the industry of medicines, paper, rubber, paints, plastic.
